What are the goals of this subject?"Paleozoology" is A branch of paleontology which deals with identifying fossilized animal remains. Some subfields in "Paleozoology" include Paleozoology encompasses the recovery of multi-cellular animal remains from geological formations, and archaeological digs, and is used to reconstruct prehistoric environments, and to create models of ancient ecosystems. Professionals of "Paleozoology" include William Buckland, John Ostrom, Henry Fairfield Osborn, Alan Walker, and Stephen Jay Gould. Some reasons we look at "Paleozoology" include ...determine which species were most dominant and which had the largest population within a time period or a geological region.
